Puff Puff!

19 February, 2008. | Post by Adam R

First blog in three days, I know I’m slacking! but there’s Government conspiracies that are slowly slowing me down! (It took me 10 minutes to come up with the word Conspiracies and my brother was officially no help, he would be crap at cross-words, I gave him the words plot, plan, scheme and treason). But back to it!

Puff Puff! In the form of fitness and exercise of course, this is one of the reasons I haven’t been here. In my grand scheme of changing my mind of what I want to do a billion times in life, I have come across the RAF. Looking into it, I noticed they have released there basic training fitness programme on the internet, so me and my brother have decided to go through the six week training. Its great! I would advise all of you to take up, and stick to a proper fitness programme.

I always thought I wouldn’t be any good trying to maintain a decent level of fitness, not since I lost my fitness a few years ago (I used to play college basketball). Lately I have been eating a awful unhealthy diet, and doing next to no exercise. Feeling lethargic on a good day, I figured exercise would kill me, but I feel great! I have so much extra energy, and more motivation to want to do things.

Blowing the dust off the Pilates Premier machine (Bought from QVC, GET ONE!) and setting it up in the study (now mine and my brothers ‘Aerobic Room’) we watched the accompaniment DVD and started going. The things are better than a gym itself, they work and tone every muscle in your body. Add that up with a 1.5 mile jog once a day (no need to do this every day I just incorporated this myself) and that’s all the fitness you need. Although right now I ache, a lot.

A mixture of Tricep Dips, Press-ups, Sit-Ups and Step-Ups, as well as the Pilates and Jogging, helps maintain the level of fitness that would get you past your RAF basic training, or just maintain a healthy lifestyle. This though, will not help you put on that four stone in muscle you want, but I’d advise doing this first even going that route, it will help. And it will give you a better body, if you keep it up!

For now though, the Liverpool – Inter Milan game is on, so I’ll leave it at that, the guys out there will understand why!

Until Next Time (which will be tomorrow!)
