Nice to meet you, to meet you nice …
5 March, 2008. | Post by Adam RAs you go along, it will get easier making new friends, mainly you just have to find the people you click with. I’m not saying making new friends is easy, its anything but, especially with the peer pressures that around around today. You dress differently, wear your hair in a funny way, you dont have the biggest budget available so no designer clothes. Music, hobbies, job, money situation, all factors, and there are many more!
People like people who listen to them, not only that but people who are genuinely interested in what they do, what they have to say and just generally who they are. You may have all the coolest and latest stuff, but if your sour, selfish and self-absorbed, you’ll get nowhere.
Doing the wrong thing comes next. Yes you want to be friends with everyone, but surely not the bad people? If these so called friends where in fact friends, they wouldn’t try to persuade you to smoke, take illicit drugs, steal, gamble, fight. Going down that path is the fastest way to lose honest, respectable friends. Try to keep on the right road, you know what is right and wrong, be ready to say no and walk away. Stand up for yourself, be proud of who you are.
Arguing – a lot of people thrive of it, theres people who like a good argument every now and then, but this creates rifts between some people, although others it brings closer. You just have to be careful with arguments. If you are in the wrong, do not be scared to admit it, and apologise. You have to be true to yourself, and honest to others. Even after admitting your in the wrong, some people will try to push further, just allow yourself to walk away.
Smile … Don’t stop smiling! People would rather be around someone who smiles over someone who mops around and moans. Smiling doesn’t hurt, so why not do it? Smiling helps other’s feel better about themselves, often will put a smile on their faces. But not a fake smile, it must be genuine, it cannot be bought, a true smile had to come from your heart.
If you really want people to like you, you must make each person feel important in their own way, and it must be true. It’s like making that girl you like feel special, but not entirely in the same manner.
Smiling and making people feel important requires a mental strength that is not the easiest to achieve. The more you work towards doing it though, the faster you will create that mental strength. Soon those cool people will want to be you, instead of the other way around. All because you are different, your unique and not afraid to show it. That confidence is what everybody strives for.
Each relationship with each friend is a kind of love, each one must truly mean something to you,a and you to them. Although it’s said until your money has dried up, you won’t know who your true friends are.
Never stop falling in love.
