Wrong time

Ever feel like you’ve been born in the completly wrong time period. I know for a fact I have been. I should have been born in ancient Rome, i’d thrive on all the intrigue, double dealing and ruthlesness that went on back then, I certainly have the mind for it.

Laws of the old, and new!

My mother likes her magazines, a lot. My granny sends about 7 or 8 a week for her to read, and she gets numerous others delivered as well. One article in one of those many magazines caught my attention when I was showed it, so I thought I’d so some looking up and see what I would find. Its pretty interesting, and got me laughing!

The article was a ‘Laws Of Olde’ and had some various laws form around the world which are still in place, and arguable in court. So I thought I’d make a list here, for people to take advantage of, and have a laugh.

Survival

I have often been called ’strange’ or ‘daft’ by friends and family for randomly behaving in a silly fashion and finding the smallest and strangest things to be thoroughly amusing. However I say to you I am perfectly sane. Being silly and laughing at strange things is not a sign of a disturbed mind it is a survival mechanism.

It is said these days, that technology as we know it, has come a far way. But is not not also true, that it is at, for want of a better word (or perhaps not), a primitive standard, to what it could be. The dark ages was a time that, well, haunted this planet, a period of nearly 1000 years where there was little to no scientific research done, only wars over make-believe existence.(For those who don’t read between the lines, I mean god, allah, whatever their being called wherever.) But what level are we truly at, and where could we be?

Uni Life

Well i’ve been at uni for all of three weeks now, getting settled in nicely meeting new people, teaching began two weeks ago so have got a fair few lectures under my belt now. I thought i’d provide a little snippet of my course to those who are considering university themselves or have little ones who will be off to university in a year or two.
