Do you think for yourself or do you rely on others to think for you ?

Personaly i am terrible for relying on other people to think for me. When asked a question for example ‘What did you do yesterday’ i have got into a habbit of looking at Adam and waiting for him to answer for me.
Now with me i think the reason i do this is just because in this house everyone has such big voices and im very quiet and adam does have a habit of jumping in (with his big gob : P)

What i have noticed is that when you do get people to think for you your mind can get lazy. I have began to stop thinking and just give up, most of the time. Which is actually how i came about writing this blog. I was saying to adam that i can never think of anything to blog about and that i should just give up because i cant do it, but he was adamant i could and would think of something, this for some odd reason irritated me because it wasnt any help at all! So i ended up saying to him ‘ you write something and i’ll put my name on it’ just to basically say to him i cant do things for myself. That made me realise how often i actually say i cant do something when in actual fact i can if i just set my mind to it.

But i have often wondered what other reasons there could be for people doing this in all circumstances, perhaps fear of people criticising you, others disagreeing or even being made to look like a fool.
Alot of people are very easily influenced when it comes to making up their own mind about things like music, fashion, Celebs and so on. Im thinking more on the lines of children aged 11+. When their friends like a certain pop star and clothing style they tend to follow, im not sayin all or even most im just saying alot. This is obviously how styles of clothing start when a manafacturer makes clothing or jewellery and sticks it on a well known celeb and bingo everyones wearing it. This in its self is someone making up your mid for you. Dont get me wrong im not proposing i think that anyone shouldnt like something because everyone else does. I just think that it should be encouraged to think for yourself and not follow others.

The funniest thing about this is that adams nephew came in the room as i was half way through writing this and asked if he could play on my ds, but instead of asking me he asked adam, i said to him ‘you can ask me you know i am here’ he replied with ‘Yea but adam normally answers for you’

So this is my goal to stop turning to someone else for an answer and to think for myself wherever possible!
