It seems lately that tower’s have been making themselves known in my life.

I’m currently on book five of Stephen King’s magnificent Dark Tower series. I highly recommend it to anybody who has even the remotest intrest in fantasy fiction. The most intresting thing is that the books have been provoking all kinds of strange and wonderful thoughts in my mind, ranging from self analysis all the way to think about the nature of time, weird huh? Not wishing to spoil the story for any who wish to read it i can’t go into to much detail but suffice to

Another tower in my life at the minute is from the MMO (massively multiplayer online) game Aion. This tower is called the Tower of Eternity. In the games lore the Tower of Eternity was created by the god Aion and the area around it is inhabited by humans. In the game an event called the cataclysm has led to the tower being destroyed. Without going into to much detail, this basicallyl eads to a war between two peoples who used to be one race, each intent on wiping out the other.

The third, and a somewhat more abstract tower, refers to one of my university lecturers. Had to get up early this morning to go in for his lecture, sadly it was immensly, osul destroyingly dull. The tower refrence comes in that the lecturer strikes me as a kind of Ivory tower scholar. Hes so focused on his chosen arrea of study that he thinks everybody else is just as intrested in it as he is, thus giving him all the charm and grace of genital herpes.

Well there you have it, i’m in the middle of a tower obsession, anybody else randomly get obsessed about things?. I’m off now, going to build a tower out of my dvd cases.
