Making The Change!

1 October, 2008. | Post by Adam R

This story begins somewhere 3 months ago, I came to buy a new laptop, as the one i was using, was dated. Not completely useless, just basic. Cuo core, win xp but vista ready, 2gb ram, on board graphics, 60gb hd. So i decide to change, I find a really good offer, an Acer Aspire 5520, £299.  I, to be honest, still believe they had cocked up the pricing, but I’m not complaining. This laptop has 64 bit, duo core, turion tl-60 2.0GHZ processor, 160GB HDD, 3GB DDR Ram, Wireless, GeForce 7000m Graphics (not amazing but better than what i had). A good deal sitting in at the price, considering when looking elsewhere the lower aspire models, with worse specs, cost the same i paid.

10 Ways In Which Linuxs Beats Windows

25 September, 2008. | Post by Adam R

WIkipedia (Do not trust 100%) Says:
Linux; Linux (commonly pronounced IPA: /?l?n?ks/ in English; variants exist[1]) is a Unix-like computer operating system family which uses the Linux kernel. Linux is one of the most prominent examples of free software and open source development; typically all the underlying source code can be freely modified, used, and redistributed by anyone.

Windows; Microsoft Windows is a series of software operating systems and graphical user interfaces produced by Microsoft. Microsoft first introduced an operating environment named Windows in November 1985 as an add-on to MS-DOS in response to the growing interest in graphical user interfaces (GUIs).[1] Microsoft Windows came to dominate the world’s personal computer market, overtaking Mac OS, which had been introduced previously. At the 2004 IDC Directions conference, it was stated that Windows had approximately 90% of the client operating system market.

Technology pt 2

14 February, 2008. | Post by Dasati

The conspiracy continues! Was hoping to get my new pc today but alas it was not meant to be. Something to do with the graphics card and power supply i know not the specifics but suffice to say its going to need a new power supply. I’m hoping to get my new PC tomorrow and will be making a sacrifice to the tech gods to that affect this evening.

On a completly unrelated but brighter nontheless note i finally finished my history coursework today :D it is a 9 page, 3,255 word monster of an essay but hey its finally done.

Technology

5 February, 2008. | Post by Dasati

I am convinced as of this very moment that there is a grand conspiracy against me. All forms of technology seem to be rebelling against me. My pc (the one im currently on) seems to be possessed by the devil randomly displaying strange images and colours, im convinced of a demonic nature. It also seems to indulge in ritual suicide, whenever i get upto something important in what ever i am doing my pc decides it is time to kill itself.

My laptop is so spyware, virus and adware ridden im amazed i can turn it on without having it explode into a thousand virus ridden pieces. My mobile phone seems to have more mood swings than a alcoholic, drug addicted women having her period and my memory stick seems to have the memory of a goldfish.

Conclusion: The technology gods are angry with me, to appease them i must ritually sacrifice 10,000 geeks, either that or buy a new pc.

decisions, decisions.
