If The Doc Say’s It’s Ok ?

So you’re feeling a little bit down, it always seems to be raining on your parade, and you head to the doctor. Your doctor is like one of the ones at my local surgery, who will rename nameless as he is an excellent doctor, just a little, drug prone. Your GP suggests a member of the Prozac family to go along side your councilling. You take a high dose for a while, and then you feel better, do you stop taking the ‘tablets’.

Survival

I have often been called ’strange’ or ‘daft’ by friends and family for randomly behaving in a silly fashion and finding the smallest and strangest things to be thoroughly amusing. However I say to you I am perfectly sane. Being silly and laughing at strange things is not a sign of a disturbed mind it is a survival mechanism.

May you live in interesting times

I was watching the film Lions for Lamb’s the other day and as well as provoking many other thoughts for some reason it brought to mind a line from a book i read awhile ago, “may you live in interesting times”. Now i don’t know why but i started to think about that line in more detail and i came to the conclusion its actually a curse.

The list

Well i’m back from hospital now, operation went well, no complications and despite my scar annoying the hell out of me being so damn itchy and the occasional headaches i’m well on the way to recovery.

Now to the point. As you can imagine whilst in hospital i had an awful lot of time to dwell on things and after watching the film The Bucket List (great film by the way) i was inspired, after long thought i wrote my own list, not of things i want to do before i die, but of the things or people that matter the most to me in my life.
