Was having a conversation with Louise earlier when for some reason i brought up the topic of parallel universes. We both agreed that its an intresting theory.

Well where to begin. Tonight i was in quite a melancholic mood, brooding over how as time goes by it gets harder and harder to remember peoples voices and that from now on whenever i get close to someone i’ll never know the sound of their voice. Anyways i decided to head out for a walk in the cold night air to try and clear my head. On this walk i casually glanced up at the sky and what i saw caused me to pause. The stars were brighter than i’ve seen them for a long time even with the light pollution around the Halls. I moved to a darker area and the combined effect of the darkness around me, the bright stars above me and the deafness induced silence made me experience one of the most profoundly peaceful moments i’ve felt in a long time.
It’s moments like that when i can be thankful i’m deaf.

Isnt it amazing if you have money and a big name you can get away with almost anything?
Constantly you see celebrities in the news defending themselves from alcohol and drug episodes to even murder. Strangely enough they are getting away with it. If it was an everyday person like you and me that committed a crime it wouldnt be overlooked.

And now, the topic at hand. Everyone must of heard the saying, an apple a day keeps the doctor away, i for one don’t really eat an apple a day, and never visit a doctor, but that’s not what this is about.

I personnly think it is one of the biggest cultural travestys of modern times that people no longer quaff. For those of you who don’t know what Quaff means heres the dictionary.com defintion:
| 1. | to drink a beverage, esp. an intoxicating one, copiously and with hearty enjoyment. |
–verb (used with object)
| 2. | to drink (a beverage) copiously and heartily: We spent the whole evening quaffing ale. |
–noun
| 3. | an act or instance of quaffing. |
| 4. | a beverage quaffed. |
In other words to drink something where half of it goes in your mouth and the other half down your front. The Viking’s were mighty quaffer’s, it was considered the height of entertainment to gather together, feasting, quaffing, singing and telling battle stories.
I hereby commence the “Bring Back Quaffing” campaign!
